There are now a number of options for types of braces that can be used during treatment. These include the traditional silver braces, clear braces made of porcelain, and even gold braces. In most cases the type of braces used is fairly flexible, with occasional limitations for the clear braces. Regardless of which braces are used, the patient can choose the color of rubber bands placed ones.


Many people prefer not to have braces fixed on their teeth throughout treatment, or just want another option that is easier to keep clean, less of a hassle to eat with, or not noticeable to other people. Invisalign is a great option for these individuals because it does all of the above. Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners that move teeth in increments, often faster and more gently than braces.
